A creation of Prithviraj Chauhan.

Qila Rai Pithora which was created by Prithviraj Chauhan is a beautiful unknown creation in South Delhi. It is located between Malviye Nagar, Hauz Khas and Lado Sarai. I have passed by this place many times as my college is located in Saket but I have never been to this Qila. During my final project, I was doing some research and got to know about this place then my reaction was like I have seen this place from outside but never been there so it made me curious to visit this place. Many of you are definitely not aware of this place.
Remains of this fort from the 12th century lie in scatters across the region around Qutub complex. Better known as Lal Kot by some, this fort was the first red stone fort built in Delhi. In 1160 AD, the Chauhan rulers took over Delhi from Tomars. The combined fort extended to six and a half km. However, the Chauhan's didn't rule long over the city, in 1190's the Afghans started attacking.
So take some time to visit this beautiful place and if you want to see the place properly then do climb the walls.
